You can’t stop the wave so learn to surf! Start with your long board then transition to your short board!
Did you know that the average time in front of a Family Law Judge is Los Angeles County is on average 6 minutes and total case judge time on average cradle to grave is 70 minutes and 27 minutes in San Bernardino Cty. Usually in the system for 12 months plus.
Available time each LA Cty judge has: One hour before calendar, one hour noon break, one hour after end of the calendar = 180 minutes divided by 30 cases on calendar =6 minutes and increase to 9 minutes if 20 on calendar.
So if you have a case in front of a judge, plan your time wisely. Watch the Judges EYES! Get to know the Judges habits. What he/she wants and doesn’t want. Adhere to the rules of conduct.
The Judges really want you to use alternative dispute resolution rather than oral testimony.
Be aware of Rule 5.119 of the California Rules of the Court is adopted and rule 5.118 is amended, effective July 1, 2011.
